Applications
The NCCB is open to all training course providers - and that includes both
public training courses as well as in-house bespoke courses developed by
employers. There is however a minimum quality standard. All courses must be able
to demonstrate independent approval, or endorsement, by an organization with
suitable expertise.
So, examples would be course approval gained from:
• Relevant trade associations,
• Safety organizations,
• Examination bodies or government agencies.
The pdf document at the bottom of this page provides you with more
information about the different routes to gaining registration on the NCCB. It
is important to note that NCCB is not a course approval organization – so if you
would like your course registered on the NCCB you will need to first gain some
form of independent approval. Here are links to a number of organisations who
provide this type of course approval service:
• Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)
• Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
• International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM)
